What do the initials stand for and when did they change?
(Back in 1961 when it was founded, WWF stood for the "World Wildlife Fund". However, as the organization grew over the 70s and into the 80s, WWF began to expand its work to conserve the environment as a whole (reflecting the interdependence of all living things), rather than focusing on selected species in isolation. So, although we continued to use our well-known initials, during the 80s our legal name became "WWF-World Wide Fund For Nature" (formerly World Wildlife Fund - except in North America where the old name was retained).
However, to avoid confusion and mixed messages across borders and languages, WWF is known as simply "WWF"
How can I become a partner of WWF?
You become our partner when you commit to make a difference and work towards conserving our planet. You could do
this by contributing to fund our work. To be a partner click here. Fill a
simple form and you are done!
Can I pay using my credit card?
Yes you can. For the transaction to go through, you will need your card details.
Can I pay using my debit card or net banking account?
Yes you can pay using your debit card. You have to select the option of paying through a debit card / net-banking
and get going with the process.
How will the
money I pay be used?
Based on your choice! From the listed categories (in this form) which ever area you choose to contribute to, we shall deploy your contribution for that chosen activity.
What will I get in return if I make a donation?
We have designed a nice package for you, depending on your choice you would be sent the package mentioned under
the choice. Other than that you will be contributing towards our environment, and in return you would get a safe living
planet.
Is it possible to know what my
donation was used for?
Yes, you can write to us anytime to inquire about the same.
Yes, we will send you an annual tax exemption certificate (U/S 80G of Income Tax Act 1961), at the end of each fiscal year.
I am very apprehensive to pay online. Is it safe to use your online donation facility?
We highly recommend online payment, as it’s completely secured and hassle free. Our payment gate ways are protected and your account details will not be divulged to any third party.
I am not comfortable paying online, can I send a cheque or a demand draft?
If you don’t like the idea of paying online. Simply take a print out of this form, fill it and send a

Can I pay on behalf of a friend?
Yes, you can contribute on behalf of your friends, we will ensure that the benefits reach them.
What if I cannot donate but spend time for conservation?
That's alright.
You can contribute when you deem fit, but till then be a responsible citizen of our only planet. Green your day, be an online activist!
What is ‘Corpus fund’?
A 'Corpus' fund is one, which would be used for priorities and needs assigned by WWF-India.

What browser version must I have to purchase my partnership?
The partnership website is tested to work in Internet Explorer 6 and above, Mozilla Firefox v2.0 and above and
Safari v3 and above.
I got an error message and my
application/ purchase did not go through. What should I do?
Most of the times our error messages will be self-explanatory. In case of any doubt or query please mail us at
partner@wwfindia.net with your email address and mobile number that you had filled in the form. We will get back to you
regarding the error message.
Can I receive student or
senior discount on my membership?
We don't offer any discounts in our Partnership Programme. We accept any amount equal to or more than Rs. 250 per month.
